220 Seva Kutirs in as many interior tribal villages of MP

With 220 Seva Kutirs in as many interior tribal villages of MP, we have a solid platform which not enables us to execute not only our core deliverabkes of education with meals for 22 thousand children, but also several ancillary goals. One of these is logistical support and access of poverty stricken villagers to govt healthcare services. A segment in this space is eyecare for children and elderly. We are endeavouring to get vision repair and restoration of at least 2000 children and elderly in our field villages across 6 districts in this year. We have found a wonderful collaborator in this in Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust which has huge eye hospitals of cumulative capacity of 2800 beds in Chitrakoot (district Satna) and Anandpur (district Vidisha). A couple of days back, 40 of our elderly and children from Sheopur district who had given up hopes of getting sight back were treated. Many got their vision restored / significantly improved. Unfortunately, for some cases of children it was irretrievable and the cause was that of severe malnourishment right from (and even before) birth. In our common perception one does not quite relate malnourishment to blindness, but that is very often the case. PS: The inspiration behind these eye hospitals was a great humanitarian saint Sri Ranchhoddasji Maharaj whose central theme was serving the poorest of poor. He inspired scores of doctors to take up life of service. Such an inspired group of doctors and disciples built up these hospitals which even 50 years after Maharaj’s passing away, continues to deliver sterling service.
