3 Resident coaches (2 gents and one lady) have been training boys and girls for at 2 tournament-standard basketball courts (with floodlight and viewer galleries) at our Parivaar Bengal campuses. Children who hitherto lived lived on streets, were working as child labour, ragpicking or in far-off interior areas have got possible horizons. We plan to Parivaar Bengal Update

923 eye camps in tribal villages in less than 9 months. More than 1.8 Lac persons examined and served. More than 25 thousand surgeries.

189 children (109 boys and 80 girls) from some of the most inaccessible areas of Sundarban islands admitted into Parivaar residential institutions in Bengal (24 Parganas South). Parivaar residential institutions are the largest free residential institutions for vulnerable children in whole of West Bengal in the age group of 5 to 21.

Parivaar Winter Relief for Vulnerable Elderly

We have distributed 51,628 blankets to poor elderly in tribal pockets across 14 districts of Madhya Pradesh and in Sundarban region of West Bengal. The exercise started from October and ended within December.

Start of our new Residential School at Sandalpur (District Dewas MP).

This month we have started our much awaited residential campus with 320 children from mainly tribal communities of 3 districts (Sehore, Dewas, and Khandwa). The campus is spread over 17 acres and expected to be scaled up to much greater numbers in time to come. We already have hostels in Mandla district and of course Start of our new Residential School at Sandalpur (District Dewas MP).

81 boys and girls from Daarijungle island of Sundarban admitted into Parivaar residential institutions.

33 girls in Parivaar Sarada Teertha and 48 boys in Parivaar Vivekananda Sevashrama. This island has a very difficult access and one has go via Dhamakhali in a boat. We have done preliminary survey in 8 such islands in Sundarbans and plan to admit some 300 odd children in all from these islands in coming 81 boys and girls from Daarijungle island of Sundarban admitted into Parivaar residential institutions.

Major Campaign towards Tobacco De-Addiction among Children in Sheopur Villages

While the problem of tobacco consumption among adults and even teenagers is commonly prevalent in most areas of MP, it came as a shock to us to find children as young as 5 years old (both girls and boys) addicted to tobacco consumption (they call it pudiya) in villages of Karahal block of Sheopur district.
