8 Day Mega Athletic Meet at Parivaar Bengal
We had our 8 Day Mega Annual Athletic Meet at Parivaar Bengal Campus from 23rd to 31st of Dec where almost 2100 resident children and 225 Sevavratees.
There were nearly 200 events which included Sprints, Cycle Races, Relay Races, Long Jump, High Jump, Throws, etc. As is the norm at Parivaar, events were designed in such a way that all the children and sevavratees could participate according to their age. Events were segregated according to age-groups of children, from age of 5 till 18 plus. Multiple heat rounds were conducted to select the participants for Finals in each event.
The event started.everyday from around 9 am almost till the time light faded away.
The event was inaugurated in a grand fashion starting with our Parivaar Band performing a March, followed by parading drills and dance performed by the children, and then the ‘Mashaal’ was lit and taken around the ground by our Sevavratees.
The victorious ones in every event proudly stood on the victory stand and were presented with medals.
The Ending Ceremony was also made eventful with some drills, dance, and a Mashaal run by the children.
As the sun went down he western sky on the last day of the year, we marked the end of this Mega Athletic Meet 2024.
This 8 day Sporting Carnival has charged up the children and Sevavratees with renewed vigour for the new year of 2025.
