Parivaar Shravan Kumar Prakalpa

A few months back we embarked upon a new line of service using our Seva Kutir platform – that of restoring vision of at least 2000 vulnerable elderly across more than 250 highly impoverished tribal villages in 7 districts of Madhya Pradesh. In this mission we have collaborated with Sri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust Anandpur, district Vidisha. We are happy to share that every week we are taking at least 50 elderly over a 3 day visit and stay to this hospital. While the hospital bears the surgery costs through government sponsorship, Parivaar helps supplement all accompanying costs like transportation, stay and fooding of patients to the hospital and our Sevavratees mobilise elderly from all these villages and handhold them during the visits and stay till they return to their homes. We have named this project as Parivaar Shravan Kumar Prakalpa basing its ideal and deriving its inspiration from Shravan Kumar who was epitome of servive for his blind parents. This week too, two groups – from Sehore and Sheopur districts – totalling more than 100 elderly have undergone vision restoration. Till now in last 2 months more than 300 elderly have received the gift of sight through this initiative.
