We have inaugurated 15 more ambulances. It makes the number of completely free (not a single penny accepted) 24*7*365 ambulances in poorest tribal areas to 141. Having covered all needy tribal blocks in Madhya Pradesh we shall now look for expanding this service in Chhatisgarh. We will start with northern Chattisgarh – districts of Surguja, Koriya, Surajpur, Mungeli etc. As per our knowledge (will be happy to stand corrected) this is the largest free program in this space by any non-State actor anywhere in India. For those who do not know much about Parivaar, it might be relevant to point here, that this is one of the several verticals Parivaar works in with is 4300 fulltime field workers – all initiatives directed towrda serving poorest among poor in interior areas and no programs in cities or even smaller towns.
